Uninsured Motorist coverage protects you, members of your household and your passengers in an accident with a motorist who has no insurance or is underinsured. Uninsured Motorist protection also covers you if you're injured by a hit-and-run driver. The coverage also applies to you and the members of your household as pedestrians. Coverage includes payment of medical costs, lost wages and pain and suffering.

Underinsured Motorist coverage provides the same coverage to you and your passengers in an accident with a motorist who doesn't have enough insurance.

The limits can not exceed your bodily injury liability coverage. Uninsured Motorist is a separate coverage from Underinsured Motorist therefore one coverage could be purchased without the other.

This coverage is not required by the State of Arizona and therefore is optional. This coverage is strongly recommended to those persons that do not carry medical and disability insurance.
